Black Sweet Iron Copper Pelham bit works on the poll, corners, bars, tongue and chin groove. This bit is ideal when you need more control. The jointed mouthpiece will lessen the nutcracker effect on the tongue while copper and sweet iron encourage the horse to be softer in the mouth. Raised copper nibs help to prevent the horse from taking too much of a hold. Traditionally pelham bits are used with two reins, but can be used with bit converters to create a milder “mix” of the two rein option.
