Fager Maria Titanium Baucher Bit
Fager Maria Titanium Baucher bit is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following;
- Displays discomfort with almost every bit previously tried.
- Feels rigid to the contact on one or both sides.
- Tosses their head up and down.
- Resistant to acceptance onto the bit.
Fager Maria Titanium baucher has everything you could want from a bit! It is an incredibly comfortable bit featuring 100% super smooth surfaces, including the joints.
Maria’s joints are designed to never press against the sides of the palate or create uneven pressure over the bars. It is an extremely comfortable bit which contours naturally around the tongue, relieving the bars from constant pressure.
The Baucher (sometimes called a hanging cheek”) is designed to keep the mouthpiece steady and give a framed feeling. The bit “hangs” from the bridle in such a way that your horse does not have to “hold” the bit. This can be very relaxing for many horses. Contrary to popular opinion, the Baucher cheek does not create “poll pressure” as it does not have a leverage point.
Fager designs their bits to always sit horizontally straight, there is never a bigger bend forward. The reasoning behind this is to ensure that the bit maintains the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth, creating stability and clear communication for the horse. When a bit creates a bigger bend forward, it also moves the BP forward, detrimentally reducing the effectiveness of the aids
This design is the ideal solution for sensitive horses who easily develop sores and cuts as it protects the bars and the flesh of the mouth. New 5cm purchase height.
