The Blue Alloy Medium Port Loose Ring bit is made from a technologically advanced version of Black Steel (traditional Sweet Iron).
Blue Alloy oxidizes faster and easier compared to Black Steel. It will rust when in contact with air and humidity. This surface rust, tastes sweet and naturally stimulates additional saliva production, encouraging better acceptance of the bit by the horse. Loose ring cheeks are ideal for horses that may feel “trapped” in a fixed cheek bit, while the medium port offers additional tongue room in the mouth. Available in 5″ only
