The “peanut” allows for a more gentle break in the horses mouth, helping your horse to relax more with contact and worry less. Copper has long been used as a softer metal that creates saliva in turn helping to keep the horse more “soft”. We also carry this bit in a 14mm option for horses with a lower palate or smaller mouth.
